Mark Underwood presented his 7th speech from the Communication and Leadership manual, "Welcome Adversity." Mark shared several anecdotes that shared the theme that going through adverse and diverse situations will lead to a positive outcome. - 7:16

Greetings Fellow Titan Toastmasters!

Announcements:

There will be no Toastmasters Meeting on July 7th. Take the time over the breat to gather ideas for a tall tail. August is coming around the corner and that means that it will be the start of the club level Tall Tails and Evaluation contests. More details to be presented later.

Toastmasters Leadership Institute will be showing up at Red Rocks Community College on July 12! TLI will be presenting club officer training for free - if you are a club officer for the new year, click the link below for the sign-up. They also hold two seminar sessions - ALSO FOR FREE! - this is open to officers and non-officers alike, and you can still attend an officer training session if you are interested in the particular role.

Samiksha Bindra presented project four from the communication and leadership manual. In her speech, "How to say it," Samiksha detailed the story of one very overworked professional learning about what it means to be in the line of fire. - 6:11

Kevin Aberle presented a speech from the Better Club series entitled, "Resolving Conflict." In his speech, he informed the audience on how to handle situations that involve conflict in a manner that will be adventageous for all parties involved. - 10:15

Mark used the recent article from Mike Rosen of the Rocky Mountain News for the theme of his table topics (article can be found here). Each participant had to either explain why something was a falsism or a truism.

Karen Standiford presented project nine, the pursuasive speech, from the Communication and Leadership manual entitled, "The Safety and the Net." In her speech, Karen shared her concern for the safety of youngsters on the internet and shared a personal story to express the dangers.

Brad Wolf presented a speech from the Better Club series entitled, "The Visionary Leader." In his speech, he informed the audience on key points of creating a vision and the importance of expressing that vision to others.

Kevin Aberle: Speech was for Leadership Speech #1 – Spoke about Motivation – encouraged us to think as the CEO of our own small company and expounded on ways for us to motivate our employees.

John Gies: Speeches by Management #1 – Spoke about the Challenge from Jim Ryan for us to mentor young speakers, discussed ways clubs reach out into the community and the benefits for us as a club and as individuals to sponsor this sort of out reach.
