Prior to working with Titan Toastmasters, I was oblivious to the skills and finesse required to speak in public with exceptional skill. It has been through the efforts of the club members that helped me open my eyes to the practice of public speaking. Titan Toastmasters provided a comfortable speaking environment in which I could practice the talents learned through the Toastmasters program.
I have used what I have learned in Titan Toastmasters in every aspect of my day-to-day life. In my office (I used to have a cube), I have a bell that I use to remind other co-workers of uhm’s, ah’s, and other verbal crutches that they have in their speaking. Becoming aware of verbal crutches was one of the many lessons that I learned through Titan Toastmasters. Not only has my skill in speaking transpired to a higher level, but those around me have also become more aware of the skills needed in public speaking.
